I was sure and then started second guessing myself because of the light spot in the middle of the V, LOL! And pretty sure she's already getting a crest - which is nice as only 2 others of mine have crests so far. I have been told that even if I breed only crested gals I will still get only 50% crested at best. I have yet to see any crested roos from any that I've gotten. Are there crested roos? Is that what is needed - both parents crested - in order to get all crested. Or does that just not happen?Sexing CL should not be hard at all... and yes some Hens get the headspot, but its not very large an the headstrip is well definedThanksI was sure and then started second guessing myself because of the light spot in the middle of the V, LOL! 50% doesn't sound right to me if you are breeding from crested girls. Cresting is, to my understanding, incompletely dominant. I do agree you see roos with cresting less often BUT when they get a crest it really messes with their comb- it is SUCH a balancing act! My guy has a very small crest but a nice erect comb, only 5 points though.ThanksI was sure and then started second guessing myself because of the light spot in the middle of the V, LOL!
