Cream Legbars

Honestly I don't know. I'm still learning as well

there should be no color. People who like the color should not say that their working towards the standard or improving cream legbars becaues they like the breed. They should start calling them sonething else and start a new thread and start working on a diffrent sop.. the people who like the color like a very big fault in the CREAM LEGBAR. Some chestnut allowed is only talking about the shoulders of the wings in the UK sop. That is stated becaues its either really hard to get absolutely no chestnut or punnet knew you needed a slight amount to get the good salmon color in the females chest. Thats still up for debate.. the picture nicalandia oosted of the male is the corect color of a CREAM LEGBAR

actually, the "some chestnut permissible" wording. is also implied to the Creast and Back, not just the shoulders... but as I said, Some chestnut Permissible can also be taken as no Chestnut is also permissible, infact anything in between those two is also permissible, thats the nature of the wording, and I doubt the wording will be change any time soon...

going forward should I avoid breeding the dark roo and use only one of the lighter ones? Or do I have it backwards and the dark roo is preferred?
as per Punnetts work, both chick down(light and Dark) are part of the Cream Legbar genome, via gold Legbar(Danish brown Leghorn blood), so both are part of the genetic make up.. here read..
dont know if this has been posted before... I took time and read the paper, I was always asking whats the source of the dark vs light chick down on the male? well the source was from the Danish Brown Leghorn used. source: http://www.ias.ac.in/jarch/jgenet/41/1.pdf

updated pictures, not much better but I'm still hopeful.

Could you please post a picture of the head from the top and straight on. I am wondering if there is a distinctive brown 'V' on the top of the head? I cannot tell from the pictures. If so, then its a girl, if not then boy. Looks suspiciously girly to me.
