Thank goodness you found her. I know someone who came home, found his shed closed up but things inside were messed up and 2.of his Seramas hens were gone. It makes me a bit paranoid about list my extras for sale. I might add padlock to my rare breed coops.

Im glad you found her also. I have had that "oh no a chickens missing" moment only to find it shortly there after lol they must like to keep us on our toes. Are Cream Legbars a breed that would possibly be stolen? Now that they have been in the states a few years the cost of them have gone down significantly so I don't feel(especially in my area) that they would pose a possible issue with theft. Should I lock mine up once it comes time to start advertising them?

Thank you everyone. She was doing something, but I was panicy. It freaked me out. I saw there were only 5 again so I looked up and there she was AGAIN! Lol

Yep, I have gotten one like that, I would guess it was an "egg within an egg" but the outside egg didn't get a yolk or shell.

Im sure it has been asked and Im also sure it varies but what is the typical age legbars start to lay?

22-24 weeks however if they're going to "turn" that age in the winter it tends to delay the laying.
