This one has a single comb.I got them from Greenfire Farms from the Jill Rees line. Here is another from that same shipment. She has a teeny comb that I can see.
The chick looks to have a rose comb, smooth on the bottom with a slight bump on the top. May I ask who your source was? There is a fellow BYC member who is working on a rose combed Cream Legbar, maybe it is possible you got some of those? If not it is likely you have a mixed breed chick...Here is a closer picture of that pullett's comb. I can feel a very slight rough ridge at the top but I don't see any serrations yet. It's almost as if She doesn't have a comb. Could that mean it's a rose comb? What would that mean as far as the SOP?.
Good catch on the comb! You may be on to something with the chick beig a packing peanut or in the wrong bin by accident. These are my 2 cream legbar cockerels and 4 pullets. The pullets just dont like their pictures taken! They are GFF lines.
