Cream Legbars

Here is a closer picture of that pullett's comb. I can feel a very slight rough ridge at the top but I don't see any serrations yet. It's almost as if She doesn't have a comb. Could that mean it's a rose comb? What would that mean as far as the SOP? .
The chick looks to have a rose comb, smooth on the bottom with a slight bump on the top. May I ask who your source was? There is a fellow BYC member who is working on a rose combed Cream Legbar, maybe it is possible you got some of those? If not it is likely you have a mixed breed chick...
I got them from Greenfire Farms from the Jill Rees line. Here is another from that same shipment. She has a teeny comb that I can see.
This one has a single comb. Hmm odd that the other one seems to have a Rose comb. Could she possible be an "extra packing peanut"?
Good catch on the comb! You may be on to something with the chick beig a packing peanut or in the wrong bin by accident. GFF lists a twentse they say is a 'salmon duckwing' and looks like a wild type with a flat walnut comb : http://greenfirefarms.com/chicken/twentse/

I think you are right! It certainly is not a Legbar and that is a likley explanation.

Well shoot! Of course the one that I like the best isn't what I thought it was.

Oh well! It will be fun to see what she/he turns out to be.

Let's hope it is a bure breed, and there has been no fence jumping at GFF!!

Did they send extra chicks? If so they should have told you so you can sort them out.
