Nice! How old is he?
Mine aren't old enough to tell yet, The person I got mine from said her's are not aggressive. I'm hoping mine are good boys. If not, I'll have to try and get some more. Are all Legbar Roos agressive??? I saw that it was part of their behavior.I just wanted to double check.
Mine is 7 months old and he is really aggressive towards me and especially my young girls. I want to try and rehome him and get another one that's not aggressive. I was hoping that making him stand down would help but it doesn't work. He is still like that. Makes me sad.Nice! How old is he? My youngest has a straighter comb. I'm hoping both of them have good attitudes.

How did you handle him when he was young? Did you pick him up a lot or let him do his thing? Sometimes I don't think it matters how you handle them, they are going to turn out good or bad regardless.Mine is 7 months old and he is really aggressive towards me and especially my young girls. What line is yours from? He's a lot lighter than mine and has a bigger comb. Mine are from GFF first lines, not the latest Rees line.5 weeks atm
One of mine had markings like yours, kinda broken along the V line. Here she is at the top left of the pic. (click on pic to make larger) It will be interesting to see how they both turn out.
I hope mine aren't aggressive. If they are, I'll just have to get some more cockerels and try again. Since aggression is inherited, I really don't want to have that in my CLBs.For what it's worth, I have two "of age" CLB roosters. Both are between a year and a year and a half old. Both have shown some aggression... the younger ones, about 7 months are just fine so far. Mostly the two older ones charge me when I am not looking at them... sneak up behind me and act like they are bigger than they truly are. I also had a Black Copper Maran who was aggressive and now have a Partridge Penedesenca who has been aggressive. All of them, I chase until I catch them. Then, I hold them under one arm, holding their wings down so they can not flap. Then, with my other hand, I grab them by the neck and shake their neck so their head wobbles a bit... it isn't a hard shake, just a "I am bigger than you are" and stronger too type of shake. I also yell at them to knock it off, and call them dirty words. I repeat this if they come after me again... and again. It has worked very well with all but the BCM. He was much more aggressive even though he was the same age. I still watch to make sure they are not running up behind me as I turn and leave their pens. Just a stare is enough to deter their actions now. Birds are not dumb by any means. I was able to break my Derbian Parakeet from biting me by sticking him under the running kitchen faucet. All I had to do was walk in that direction and he would let go of my hands. He was a brat in the beginning, but soon was my best pal.
I had a big long legged coyote after a chicken dinner tonight at dusk. He left town in a hurry when I slid open the sewing room sliding glass door. One hen lost some feathers, but, she was fine when she finally came out of the weeds. A lot shaken up, but running like furry to get inside for the night. Guess the days out grazing are going to have to be cut shorter so I can watch them closer. Luckily my Jack Russells gave me warning that something was up. They were raising a bigger ruckus than they normally do and jumping higher in their runs. Man, can those guys jump high from a stand still. Their noses must have been at least 4.5' off the ground judging by how high they were in comparison to the 6' tall chain link fences
.
AS far as roosters are concerned, I guess they are a bit like my dogs. Brassy, but needed to know who the boss around here is... and who feeds them!
