Cream Legbars

yep! I have a few more just waiting for them to grow up to decide which to breed. I bought a incubator and now I want to hatch everything.

Incy fever is very contagious around here

. No known cure, lol.

That would be great. It would be interesting to see what a more distinct pattern looks like on pale boys, and then how they feather in. @rossfam06 I have hatched boys that look like your 2nd pic, but the first is unusual in my experience; maybe it's just the angle? Please post pics for comparison as they mature. Here's 3 colors of chick down, 2 pullets, one cockerel (similar to @rossfam06 pic #2). L - feathered in cream Middle - feathered in gold R - feathered in gold Lightest examples of chick down, male and female, both feathered in cream with no red/chestnut.
:frow @rossfam06 got those 2 chicks from eggs I sent her... *I think* they are hen specific as I am doing some test hatches and only hatched from 1 hen last time and these are what came out...

That should be a great way to check offspring. I would especially like to see grow-out pics of the cockerels if you keep them until they have most of their color, about 5-7months.

That's a lavender Ameraucana or?

I'll be growing them out, I culled down to 1 male and I don't like not having a backup, lol... I do have some more pics if you want to see them, unfortunately I lost the other chick pics when I switched my SD card... :/

Yes, that's a Lav Am, and I think Olive Egger behind him... don't think I did BCM's in that hatch... :)

We have quite a few of the same breeds. Sadly my lav. Ameraucan roo doesn't have a matching mate although he does have EE's.
Do you post your BCM on that thread? It seems quite common to have both CL and BCM, anyone else?
Do you prefer BCMxAM = OE, or BCMxCL = OE? Have you developed OE that consistently produce olive laying offspring?

I actually haven't posted on the BCM thread yet, lol... I run totally off mobile so it's difficult posting pics... I've been lurking on all the threads for my breeds though... and trying to clean up the stock I have a bit before really getting out there... I don't even sell hatching eggs yet, just helped out a few people (like ross) who got mix ups or outright lied to about purebreds... and a few swaps, lol...

As for other breeds I have-

Wheaten Sulmtalers + GDW roo
Lav & Black Split Am's
BCM's (black and blue)
Araucanas - lf & bantam
OEGB's
Silkies
Ohiki
And a project Lav Orp over black Australorp pen
Oh, and Call ducks

I just started hatching a couple Olive Eggers, they're actually my BCM over the EE my OH wanted to keep... so don't know yet what they'll come out as... she already lays an almost Olivey egg so decided to try it, lol...

I picked up some BCM earlier this year with the idea to just darken my existing light olive eggers to increase the colors in the egg basket, and also to have some dark brown eggs in the basket as well.. But now that I'm expanding into CL (as you know) I might do a CL-BCM line of olive eggers since the olive eggers are trendy and I know I could sell the chicks locally to help cover some feed cost...

It's all up on the air right now, going to have to see how ambitious I am come spring/summer...

@sol2go gonna see if I can get the pics I have to post, lol...

These were taken just as they started molting... and yes, they have severe sun damage to their color... :/
He did molt that awful white tail feather out...
