True but...... that could also be a nightmare if they were poor quality! I did want to band them and still will. There are those "good intentions" again.

You can get all kinds of bands .I get small ones from the local feed store and the bigger plastic numbered ones from Strombergs . I like Stromberg's selection. The part I like is if you buy 25 bands (plastic) they will custom number them for you. So I could technically keep Maverick #74 no matter how big he gets.

@RedBanks Did you check out the winners pictures on the CL club site? ChicKat sent me some of them when she put them up. Very pretty birds. One winner looked to be cream with some black in her hackles. Leaves me hoping for my in between girl to be okay for breeding.

I will go look. I did look at them but now I will look with new eyes. The majority of my pullets have black..... my only hope is I was told by a very knowledgeable CL person that they can change and I will have a better idea when they are four months old. I only have a couple clearly cream pullets and one gold.

I tried to take a picture that showed the hackles a little better. Not a good picture though!
