Cream Legbars

It does help doesn't it?  Trouble with bands when they are little is how often they need to be changed.  Sometimes I put them on loose so they can "grow into them" -- Putting bands on new chicks -- for me just about impossible....
I hate banding new chicks. I feel like their little legs are gonna snap like tiny twigs...

I have started using fingernail polish on the heads, a guy here on BYC told me that is what he does, it lasts about 30 days. Banding a 3-4 week old chick is way better than a day old.

I have 5 colors I use now.
Pictures please

and of course the question -- what are the colors......?

2 of the 4 Legbar eggs hatched. both boys. 1 was a quitter and 1 I am giving a couple more days

Here is my 6 week old pullet.

I have 2 other pullets 5 weeks old and 5.5 weeks old and the 5.5 has barely a crest

For straight from the brooder -- I have some of those tiny rubber bands (like for braces) except in colors of the rainbow.... they can be bought at WalMart...... I feel like it is trying to put a rubber band on a toothpick...and I do worry about their little legs and toes.......
Actually I have a mix of quiet and chatty CL hens.
My hens are quiet too -- the males do that rooster serenade in the morning - and a few random crows in the day -- The hens do a loud egg song now and then.... but if there were to be a big kerfuffle -- it would be something serious like a snake from my experience with my flock.
