X2.I really can't trust feather sexing on crossbred chickens, but if there is not a specific genetic trait I can use to confirm sex, I usually follow my Gut feeling, I know it's not scientific at all, but I can tell by the chicks posture, the comb size, and behavior! either way, if it's a pullet or a cockerel, the color will be fascinating to see it grow!
As for sexing methods, you can make your own conclusions on whether feather sexing works.

It's a nice bird. Not crele, but I look forward to see how he/she turns out.
Hey, if "confidence" has any say in gender, then you've got yourself a pullet! If not, well, time will tell ... but isn't that half the fun of having chickens in the first place?I'm experimenting, let's say that.
Ooooh, That would be FUN! We could make it a guessing game & you can post picks as they grow. Regardless of the outcome, it sure would make a neat article when you're done!I will be incubating a brand new batch of eggs that I've ordered from EBay soon. Would you like me to post the males, and females I get out of my hatch?
I really don't like surprises when I breed chickens! But isn't that half the fun of having chickens in the first place?
