I'm planning to use my large silkie roo, to breed with some of my brahmas. My brahmas turned out to be all pullets. To get silkies feathers, I'll have to do a sibling breeding, then back to the parent. Then do the same thing with the next batch of siblings, then breed them to the parent bred ones. That will produce a pure line of silkied feathers upon brahmas. I might have to repeat a couple more times to produce silkie chicken face features that won't be brahma like, plus strengthen black skin pigment, and polydactily/Five toes on each foot.How are you planning to do this?
