Hi everyone
smile.png
Thanks for the comments and sorry it took me a few days to get back to this thread.. my mind has been busy as I had a table saw "incident" less than a week ago and had surgery today to fix my oops..

no worries still have all my fingers

Ok....

juliette2009 & serendipity ~ Thanks

JenEric Farms ~ he does have som barring on his wings but not alot. I will have to open his wings up and get a pic of them for you.. good thing hes a sweet boy and easy to handle or I would have to wait a few weeks for my injury to heal up
wink.png

swheat ~ I plan to try a few different colored hens to see what works best with him but I do have a Crele pullet I plan to work with him as well. I had two but the one I had posted pics of earlier in this thread fell to a coon/opposum problem
sad.png
which has since been taken care of thanks to my husband (2 coons and 3 opposums..when one comes they all come I tell ya) I will be getting some pics of the other pullet in a few weeks
wink.png
shes not as tame as the cockerel.

Hope you have a speedy recovery ! and glad you still have all your fingers! I know what you mean with the coons & possums! and they seem to know which ones to get don't they...

I have hatched out so many from my Crele project and the olders are growing like little weeds..LOL(but still not fast enough, know what I mean

).

Ohh yeah they do but as sad as it was to loose her shes was only one of two we lost so having the numbers we do Im glad we only lost two.

How are your chicks colors come out? and new pics of them? I just took some or my f1 Lavender Split chicks but havent uploaded any of those yet to post in the Lav cochin thread. Its nice I already have one or two with dusky yellow feet and LOTS better feathering then daddy...only out of the 10 old enough to sex Im thinking 7-8 are cockerels! good thing I have a bunch more little ones and about 30+ more in the bator now

Still looking for a Brown Red pair if you have an extra pair "layin" around
wink.png
... LOL!

I haven't taken any more pic, most are coming out with too much red(light & dark), so I am think it will be another generation...Sigh! I will try to get some more pics of them.
I have some f1 Lavenders that are at the point of lay(gotten a couple of eggs already), these are also split with my black silkied cochins so I hope to hatch a few silkied lavender cochins.
I have hatched a few brown red but they are from a frizzled Brown Red roo, I now have the smooth roo(my avatar pic) back in with the hens. I hope to get a few from him , then he may visit my Lemon Blue girls.

Yes, Have you seen any Duckwing\\BBR cochins ? I don't know anyone in the states that have them. You could alway cross to another breed of BBR...but I did not want to do that.

well he's not bbr but he has the duckwing going for him! and he passes on the rounded tush!
my boy Sunny who i have been thinking could be considered a yellow/gold duckwing color since he throws columbian (white) when crossed with buff columbian!

would you think if i tried crossing him over a buff barred hen he might eventually help create the crele? when i put this into the color calculator it shows that i might get black patterned gold columbian barred Split: lemon/cream roos and black patterned gold incomplete-columbian Split: lemon/cream. so it appears that there might be some early color sexing on this crossing!
