Crippled dove question

Hi. I recently adopted a female diamond dove with a foot that is deformed and will never open. I only know she's a female because she had 2 eggs in her little nest when I brought her home. My question is if it is safe to put another dove with her. Will a second dove pick on her or will they live together like a normal pair? She gets around the cage just fine and she can fly.

My question is if it is safe to put another dove with her. If you introduce them gradually by putting them in the same company in separate cages your chances of success will be greatly improved.

Doves are usually peaceful enough and should do good if the crippled not dominant in cage already, and even then their instinct for friend usually soon wins out. Better chance with a male (thicker eye cere, larger and marked different in more normal morphs).
