They look great! I was actually worried that everyone would be making really elaborate motifs and, although those are really fun, a blanket can look really busy if all the squares are really complex.

Hahaha your a mind reader lol they really do have some very elaborate ones lol

Will I get an 'official confirmation' from the swap organizers that I'm in the swap??

As soon as I finish knitting my DGD's skirt I'll get started on granny squares for the swap.

Hmmm .... thinking about putting together a granny square poncho for Dear Grand Daughter!!

Yea it's easy to get carried away. I'm afraid I'm guilty of that sometimes. That's how I know what a mistake it is! I've done it before! Blankets with fancy motifs look much better if they are pieced together with normal squares in between.

Where is the link to the official swap page? I'm afraid I missed it! I need to know when these are due by and how many I need to make.

Bleenie~ I have never connected any of my squares from past swaps yet.

The only time I connect granny squares was to make DD a sunflower granny square purse and I think I used the slip stitch.

Post a pic of the baby blanket. We would all love to see it. I love all the cute cat toys you've made. Didn't crochet some animal beds as well?
