Oh now I see what you mean FrChuckW I will try a row of that and see what it looks like. So then I suppose to get the diagonal each row you just go over one stitch further to the right/left Hmmmm

How fun.... I wish I had my materials here at work so I could try too.

Oh Skand those peacock pictures are so gorgeous. I wish I could take them for you. How are you doing?

Me, I have a crazy house chicken who is obsessed with grapes to the point where she chases me around the house most of the time. Or else she sits in wait at my feet while I am at the computer. Now, she decided to get really daring and jump up on my desk, which she hasn't done for awhile. I think she has some security issues...as in she's "chicken". I don't know why she is so clingy today.

Ris, I think it's all this crazy weather we are having. My MinPins have been especially clingy the last couple of weeks. First it was the Ice Storm, then it cleared up, then the rain, then it cleared up, then yesterday it was the windstorm that knocked power out from 6:00 pm until 10:45 this morning!

Luckily I have a battery powered B&W 13 inch TV and a flashlight!

risurocket This last week the cochins have been real bad. open the pen and ran all over the house. Kay kept jumping on my desk. And Freddy dont like diapers. Well finally I slapped this crude thingy on Freddy its a square with soome ties on it and said 'your wearing it!' Well it took him all of one minute to get used to it. So,,,moral of my story is,,,they are just too spoiled and ran rampant over me. Now I am setting boundaries and they are behaving "a Little" better.

Question gals/guys: I made some slipper socks for my kids withWool Eases thick and Quick Lionbrand yarn. Its either 20% or 30% wool I think 30% and the rest acrylic. They say they are too big. Should I try to tighten them up? hence recrochet them. Or should I tell them to put in hot water and dry in a clothes dryer? How much do you think they would shrink?

I'll have to agree with both the weather and the spoiling. ChaCha is very spoiled. I had her outside on our one really really warm day and I think she is kind of wanting to go back out too. But if she is hungry she will chase me all over the house hoping for a treat until I sit down again and she finally goes for her "boring" food. She's been laying an egg a day *knock on wood* for about 2 weeks now.

Happy spoiled chicken.

Tiki, I think you can soak them in hot water and they will shrink and then throw them in the dryer if they are still too big. They might stretch again. Otherwise you might be able to add some cute little bows for ties or something instead of having to redo them completely. Just my 2 cents.

BOY! You all are chatty today.
I'm excited about something and had to share (will have a picture when it's totally done).
I love doing the hexagon so I decided to try an afghan made out of them but I didn't want little ones to have to sew together. So I made a big center one and then did 2 more rows of 13" hexagons around the center one. I have to confess it was like putting a jigsaw together but it is really neat or at least I think so. I just have the finish border to do and then I'll take the pic.
It comes out as one BIG hexagon made of 19 hexagons.
It's one of the 4 afghans I'm doing for Xmas.

All I can say is that we had one of those spoiled chickens who ate our food and we she was part of her family. She was so special. Make sure she eats her "chicken food" I think that we may have hurt her giving her too many treats. She did eat my peace lily one day and got sick but who knows what did it. All I know is that I can never ever replace her and I wonder what she died from. She is buried right under the apple tree next to her friends.

Why is always the ones you cherish?

Oh...Skand...I love those peacocks. Hubby asked me today if I wanted a emu.....do I? They are neat but I don't know if I can do it. The amish left it at a house my hubby's friend bought. I live in the outskirts of town ...but hey my neighbors have stinky big horses.
