Just an update, The lady that ordered the little sweater was very pleased with it, I sold it for $20. I have been hooking like mad the last couple days, we adopted a family for christmas and I made all 3 babies(5m, 17m, 2.5y) a cute hat, kitten, bear and pompom earflap hat. I finished up the hat for my nephew tonight and have been working on Winter swap squares. I got lucky, I clenaed out my stash and found a bunch of blue, unfinished squares, so I am finishing them up to use for the swap!

I have been working on an owl crochet blanket for my granddaughter, I wanted to finish it for christmas but its taking longer to piece together then I thought so it will be for her 1st birthday which is Jan 31st. I made a bunch of towels with crocheted toppers to give away as gifts. I also was able to loom knit a bunch of scarves using the pomp a doodle yarn i bought over a year ago when joanns was having a clearance sale. I am still making hats After the holidays i will mail a big box with blankets and hats to the children's hospital. And I am scouring the Internet for crochet projects that I can make in an hour or two that will benefit others but so far no luck.

I got the pattern for a "Charity Daisy" square pattern, it's really pretty but when i tried to make a square it was confusing. I will try again later when I have more time to do it without being interrupted. After the new year I wanted to make a bunch of hats and donate to the center where I did my chemo. When I was going there there was never enough hats for all the kids and almost never hats for the small babies.

What are my fellow hookers working on?

I'm still doing swap stuff but started some charity blankets and also a blanket for my cousins upcoming birthday. Been busy teaching people to crochet as well.

My older sister wanted to try so that she could help me make a blanket for our little cousin & she got the granny square down pretty quickly. She had to take it apart a few times in the process but she was pretty pleased with herself after she got about 3 rounds done. Then when she was headed home last night she picked all her stuff up and her yarn and dropped the square so a couple clusters unraveled and I thought she was going to cry!

It was just too funny.

This morning my gramma asked me to show her how to make a granny square and she's currently on round 4 and doing a really nice job!

I've been helping my mother learn for a couple months now but she hasn't quite got the granny square down. She has been doing really good working on some of my "forgotten projects" though. She finished a (hdc only) throw-size blanket for my nephew(christmas gift & he LOVED it) and is working on a DC scrapghan... it's a king-sized that i started about 2 years ago to help practice stitches and she's made a lot of progress on it in the last couple weeks. she says the DC is her new favorite stitch because it's easier than the HDC, she was always getting the loops tangled.

I am making owls and working on some African flower hexagons or are they pentagons LOL can't remember how many sides those have. I am currently looking for Sun bonnet Sue crochet projects I found lots of pics for the potholder from Annies Attic but the pattern is no longer available

I have searched high and low for a copy but none seem to be available. If anyone can figure out the pattern from a photo let me know and I will give you a finders fee! PM me your email and I will send you photos, I am not good at designing my own crochet projects
