Happy Mother's Day, all!
This is my first break to sit since getting out of bed at 7:30 this morning. When I put my feet on the floor, they were in about an inch of water! Called my DS and told him to go by Home Depot and get a wet/dry vac and head home. He came in with two and we've vacuumed and moved furniture and vacuumed more! The water just kept coming in. It has slowed down to a drizzle now, but have thunderstorms in the forecast for the next two days and then a one day break and more forecast. Praying that the monsoon will end now! (It has rained some nearly every day for two weeks, and a lot on a number of those days. So we're totally saturated.) Anyway, there's nothing like putting your feet in water before you're fully awake! Opens your eyes faster than a cuppa coffee!
My poor chickens are learning to swim, I swear! They are in the highest part of the yard, but with this much rain, it's not high enough. Their henhouse is about 16" off the ground and they are having to stay inside mostly to keep dry. Today, I'm really thinking I want to sell my house and move into an apartment where someone else will be in charge of maintenance!

lovemychix, glad you had a good, LONG evening. Lol A few years ago my dd went to see him & she couldn't quit talking about him for about a year later. She was sad when he married, happy when he divorced.
I am spending mothers day alone.

Naw, she's not hiding, she's got to make sure her make-up is right, the doo is just so, and then she will blind us all with her Blinginess!

Ya know a woman's hair cut is a very, special, distinct, segnifagant thing.
And you can't just expect one to just rush into these things.
I mean it has to be well rescearched and thought out.
It can be a life altering thing for a woman to do, ya know

Yes we had our 1st opening this weekend
We had 1 ad in the local free shopper and I didn't even get a sign out till 4 o'clock and we still had a $200.00 day after expences and for our small area we felt really good about that.
People come up 1st thing they say is We hear you have got some Great Tomato Plants
Well I gotta go set out Plants let folks know we are open
Then tomorrow My Momma will help while I am at the office. I took today off.
Hey every one I am back finally. It has been a very tough and very long 8 months for me and my little world. Lots of changes, lots of difficult decisions that had to be made and a big move across country too. I used to live in Arkansas and finally after many tough times and hard decisions we have made a move from there to South Carolina and a try to start over again. It has been hard , and very trying and in losing most everything including having to leave most of all of my chickens behind in the move we hope to find a better life here . I have so missed all the chatter and the friendship here and the swaps but when I check in -- it all looks so different now ? So can anyone fill me in and what happened and what is new now? Are you all still doing swaps or is this just a chatter thread now ? Not that it truly matters I am just glad to be back and to find some old friendships that I had when I was here last fall. It feels good to be back and I have truly missed you all and all the fun times we shared here.
