Crochet Granny Square SWAP ~ Fall 2011 (CLOSED!!!!)

Bleenie, thanks so much for the pic! I also finished a circle that I needed to square up and I love your solution! That should work out perfectly since I also need to add an inch overall.

Poor puppy! Add my wishes to the others for a super fast recovery for her!

BTW, I think most of us have dogs here and a little dog hair won't bother anyone. Mine is just way too big to be let near the yarn pile. He's only 9 months old and is already 90 lbs.

You're welcome

I hope it's easy to see in the picture, I am pretty good at looking at something that's already made and figuring it out but i know not everyone works like that! She's doing good today, we just have to wait and see how the swelling does and if it goes down. Thank you all

Good Morning~

Oh I can't wait to see everyone's squares. We had a a slight feel of fall in the air last week, but are back up to blazing hot temps this week. I've been restless and unable to pick a pattern, but think I've finally found one.

The pattern makes a 7" square, but hoping to down size it to 6". Lealona, thank you so much for the link. You are so sweet! I love that site. It's not that I didn't have enough resources, but just couldn't make up my mind. I think it was my unsettled restless mood.

Bleenie~ How is your precious puppy doing today? Did the vet give you a time limit of how long it will take to heal.

BTW, I have 3 dogs & 2 cats as well.

I store all my yarn in big ziplock bags and then have them sorted into plastic totes. Doesn't matter how clean my house is there is bound to be a little piece of "Smitty's Farm" in my squares.

My puppy (Siberian Husky mix) will come and get under my yarn so it's just hanging on her nose to get my attention. She is very needy!!!!

He didn't really give a time limit, He just said that it would take some time and the bone growth over the fracture may get bigger or stay the same. I did some research online after we got home though, about Hops Toxcicity in dogs. When we got home I saw her knawing on a piece of root from the Hops i recently tore out so I got online and found a little info about spent hops(used for brewing) being deadly toxic to dogs. There's only about 9 cases recorded and just one dog survived. She has some swelling not long ago on her face and we thought it was a bee sting, I am kind of thinking we were all wrong though and she was having a reaction to the hops roots she was chewing. And this now is a second 'flare up' from the same thing.

I went through the yard yesterday and picked up all the pieced i could find and today i will have to trim everything exposed down to the dirt. May be a little far-fetched but it's worth a try, the time frames kind of fit and i still cant figure out how she would have gotten a fracture. (also, we didn't take any x-rays yesterday, it was a physical exam only)

Bleenie, I think those colors will go well with mine! (as would bhazell's)

These are the 2 color palettes I went with. I've made 12 squares in this pattern, with these 2 palettes and no two are alike!

The left side is a green, rust & greenish brown. The right side is the same green (green behind the flower and on the edge is the same as the green flower in the left side), goldenrod and navy blue.

Please note, these have NOT had the ends woven in or have been blocked and the pic does not show the true color!!!

Holy Crow!! Looks like I need a new 3 color palette! There have been more that signed up!

Yippee!!
