The right sleeve is done!
Here's it is with all the yarn balls that I caked up/are remaining

I will never not have 80 wips at the same time. I have a baby sweater and 2 adult sweater doing, along with some miscellaneous stuff I'm crocheting. Naturally since I felt very happy that my sweaters almost done, I randomly decided to learn knitting and dug out some needles I had. I also had this variegated yarn I had no idea what to do with. So I'm knitting a baby beanie because I cannot commit to a larger one.

I’m a beginner knitter too! Since last May. But it’s coming along very slowly because I still spend way more time crocheting. After the class I took ended I had 3 things planned that I was going to make for practice and skill building. So far I have only cast on one of those. (It’s a beanie!) Then recently two other projects that caught my attention have line jumped, and I am working on the swatches for those to get my gauge right before I start them.

So many projects, so little time! :barnie

Maybe we should start a thread for crocheters learning to knit. I think I would get lost in a thread for diehard knitters.

Hm. I did a search for existing knitting threads and there were a couple that only lasted for 7 or 8 pages. The vast majority of them never even took off. And all them were quite old. (2020 and earlier.) Most were just a specific knitting question with just a few replies.

It made me appreciate the community on this thread because we are up to 75 pages and have lasted over 2 years! I guess my fear of a knitting thread packed with experts who would talk way over my head was unfounded.

I don’t know if I want to start yet another knitting thread that won’t take off. Especially if I make it too specific. I will ponder on it for a while and decide later.
