They are bantam welsummers

From my research they are 80-90% visually sexable, where the females all have darker eyeliners and a pronounced dark V shape marking their head. But from what I read the males can also have the female markings. Unfortunately I don’t see cases of where females take on male markings..

So far only one has clear female markings. The one that was dead in shell was also most likely female, but that ship has long sailed

Okay, my sister loves her Wellie roo's, she tried to intentionally pick one out from the feed store, but it turned out to be a pullet....

God has a reason for everything, so maybe it just wasn't meant to be.
But I have been through that same situation before, it can be hard at times, so I feel you

aww thanks. The hatching experience is always amazing, so it doesn’t bother me too much. Just that Pullets are just easier to rehome...

To be honest, I can only end up keeping 1 or 2 for my own flock since I already have 7!
