Crop Diseases: any cure or ideas?

My 10 weeks old 19 chicks are having something stony in thier crop. it doesn't smell bad when you msag it, but can feel it. I learnt that they peck on each other, an they dont go for ranging, just stock in the coop 8 by 8 ft, well ventilated with bars around for jumping and body fitness. what could possibly dissolve or neutralise that crop illness ?

Is there any possibility that they are eating their bedding?

I use earth for their bedding to minimise the odour/bad smell that may occur when its raining or when the bedding gets wet. But I have older chickens they don't have stony or stiff crop in morning. May be its the pecking thing.
