Crop issues need HELP!

I just went to check on her again and she was actually scratching around and rolling in their little dirt hole. Then she got up and ate and drank some more

Just keep the grass in there area really short and that way it's less likley to happen again, oh and never feed grass clipping or let them get at long freshly mowed grasses

Sadly, this morning her crop was pretty full. She had only passed a few poops, and when my son went to pick her up some water came out of her mouth. She was quite miserable, and I have to work all day today, so I won't be able to do anything to help her. I think we will have to put her down to end her suffering. It has gone on far too long.

I am hoping @TwoCrows may have some advice for you! twocrows so far Melissa has tried epsom salt and ducolax. Suggestions?

Wow, all I can hope is I never have any problems like this, because this has been so sad to watch.

It is even sadder when you know the chick is so fiesty and fighting for it's life. So emotional to see closeup and personal.

I'm soo sorry to hear this...I'm thinking maybe something else is going on like sour crop, which can be pretty hard to treat cause it's a fungal infection that can really get bad very fast. Honestly I whould try ducolax and chase that down with some Epsom salt solution the other person helping you seagested and see what happens in the morning? , I mean if she has sour crop you could take her in to the vets but it's hard to say if it whould be of any use, I totally understand just how hard this is, and the fear that she's suffering neadlesly is hard to think of...I'm so very sorry this is happening to your girl wish I could help more

I had vomited her several times last week for sour crop, gave her epsom salt flush friday night. Took her to the vets on Sat morning and he lavaged her 3x and took out a lot of grass. Then that evening I started her on Monistat 2x a day for 3 days. Then dulcolax on Tues, where she emptied out and now this morning crop was not empty.

Sounds like you've done everything possible...I mean if the ducolax was effective once then you could continue with it in hope that eventually her crop will empty without having to use it as it won't harm her in any way to keep her on it, it's very safe and really only turns everything to mush inside her crop but if you think she's very sick and really caint endure any more it's understandable of course. I'm sorry this is really sad and believe me I have gone thru this myself and it's heartbreaking it really is...you're doing right buy her and she knows you love her, I really hope things turn around for your girl, fingers crossed

Yes, just gave her a dose of Dulcolax. I hold her and she coos, so sweetly, and looks at me with her beautiful eyes. Yes, she knows I love her. I will give dulcolax a couple more tries. I can see she is still up for the fight. I will know in my heart when she has given up, and then I will have to do what hurts my heart.
