I sure hope she will eat. She took one sip of water a bit ago. and I tried to give her some yogurt. she's just preening and sleeping but nothing else. I'll keep trying. I hope she makes it through the night.

at least she pooped a couple of poops that were more normal than they have been.

Don't beat yourself up about it. It can be difficult even for the best advised chicken people to miss something or not know what is going on. Chickens are simple but complex creatures.

You did the right thing by surgery and not glueing the wound shut. The crop is an organ and consist of several layers of tissue. It would have never healed well without being stitched.

I hope she is doing okay. Remember, you did the right thing. It was her only chance.

Don't beat yourself up about it. We all have a learning curve and she had the stuck egg too that helped confuse the issue. You did good and listened to your gut about her. I couldn't imagine that it wasn't related to the earlier egg binding, but you were sure she had that mothball in there and took action. You should be proud of yourself, not mad.

Very brave of you! Good job. I did that once, but it was really too late for mine (she had crop stasis). Next time, if there is a next time, we won't wait so long.

I dont think she's going to make it personally. she's not doing that great at all. won't really drink even. I got her to take a little sip but that is it. this needed to be done last week
