Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, I'm new just lookin for some info. I have Isa brown hens and we've just hatched some eggs :) - very first very exciting :)
Anyway the roo I got from a friend he was Cochin (dad) x rhode island red (mom)
So I just wondering what to expect from these new babies temperment wise. Dad seemed more like His mama no leg feathering was just big like a Cochin n aggressive :(
So far no new hatches have leg feathers- don't even know if that gene would be passed from their grandpa roo ? (sorry for mom dad gpa references my chickens are my friends )
Any insight would b appreciated much! Thanks!

If the rooster was aggressive, there is a good chance that his sons will also be aggressive. Chicks should grow into blocky, attractive birds, even tempered hens that will be moderate layers of decent sized eggs. Continue to enjoy the 'chicken experience'.

Thanks so much! I figured the boys would be aggressive if dad was. Weird though because grandpa was the nicest ever!! And "dad" was ok with people but horribly aggressive to his hens :( I'm just happy the babes are healthy n hope everyone is well tempered :)
Thanks again
