Crossing my Red Ranger Hens.

Pics
That is a great result in a 10 week old bird. As I type, I have a 7 week old NN rooster and a 8 week old RR running about the yard. :fl that they both make it to breeding age.
I am guessing which brood the bird came from, I hatched out so many Naked Neck X Red Rangers and have so many running around of all different sizes and development that I lost track of which one came from which brood.

I hope that you are able to breed those 2 also. My white NN roo in my avatar will be moving to Golden Valley, AZ. on Friday to his new NN harem. I don't know how far that is from you, but it may help to give you more new blood for your breeding project too.

Good luck with your move! Golden Valley is about a 10 hour drive away, so a little far to drive, but maybe we can figure out a way to ship eggs, if one of us comes up with traits that the other would find useful.

I'm not moving over there, my rooster Charley is. I'll be using a different rooster over here when he's gone. He has 6 NN hen's waiting for him over there. @starri33 is the one who's getting him!

Edit: Just heard from @starri33 and she's picking him up on Sat. instead of Fri.

Trail Cam afternoon session: The Naked Neck pen. Not a lot of action, usually just one bird at time walked in front of the camera. This video you see a sample of everything in there. My white Naked Neck, His half Red Ranger Daughters, and a slow white broiler. Not the best video but the best taken this afternoon of multiple birds.

It look's like the girl's like him!

I saw someone coming out of TSC with a tiny little chicken box so I went in to see if they had something I could use for my meat birding projects. They CX and I bought 6 of them. Now if I can just keep one female alive long enough to breed I am good. Going to read about Toads and follow what @duluthralphie did to select his for breeding.

You could do like you did with that other white one. Give them an active buddy to keep them moving.

I just did that, I moved the banded 3/4 Dorkings from the main brooder to the secondary brooder and then removed their bands (I hate to band chicks, there is a risk I forget to remove one). I also moved 2 of my Ayam Cemani x Red Rangers in with them, to avoid confusing them with actual Ayam Cemanis... Sometimes the females get mixed in with Real Cemanis and I can't notice the size difference until week 8. I have more regular birds than I do CX in that brooder now I am considering pairing them off in small coops in the composting Pen to prevent CX's buddying up and regular birds buddying up and then segregating themselves... oh man that sounds like a lot of work, 6 Temporary Mini Coops. Feed Bags come in so handy as roofing shingles.
