The 2 hens from Compost King were invited to be breeders at a local farm. I'm waiting for them to separate them for eggs. They had a NN Rooster that needed some ladies and I had some ladies that needed a rooster. Time will tell.

Sounds like you have some local eggs you could get & hatch. That would give 3 breeding groups, you, me & @BlueBaby & maybe another Az member has them, too.

I still have one more of those that hatched out here that has the 4 toes on each foot if you want that one too?

I will have to take a rain check on driving down the I-17 again for a while, it is so hot! Maybe in the Fall when I get these awaited birds from Sandhill we can do another swap. I like this big Naked Neck bird, it is lots bigger but it does not pick on the rest.

Well as to my CX and Red Ranger breeding experiments, I didn’t get any offspring just one very late dead in shell chick. I still have my sweet Western Rustic Red Rooster, he’s about 15lbs and very gentle (just too darn big!) I have 30 of this years Western Rustic Red Ladies (different breeding, and less red than both my RR’s from last year and Roostie, my big boy) to keep some hold backs from... “auditions” will run until the 21st of July. I have 60 Sasso meat chicks coming in just after the Rustics go in for processing, and am hoping to hold back some of those as well.

I crossed red ranger hen with NN ROOSTER..HERE IS RESULT.. THEY ARE 7 WEEKS OLD.
On first two pictures are parents.. I think am gonna cross them again, chiks grow fast ..but I got only one female out of 5 eggs

#4 looks like a boy to me too. But you have time to be sure.

The naked neck gene is supposed to be dominant, not recessive. That means your boy is split for that gene.

I also read it out of 16 chiks I got only 4 Nacked neck..

It's hot over here where I am also. I live in the desert. This morning the temperature is 100-F. at 8:00 AM.
