Crossing my Red Ranger Hens.

Here is a chick from the Red Ranger x Dorking and Red Ranger x Naked Neck. Hen was mated to a NN Cock and here is the 10 week old chick. Weight over 3 pounds. The egg was marked "FNN".

It is next to a White Rock from Ideal that is 1 week younger. You can see the silver NN is much larger.

The white NN in this photo is the same age, same NN cock and EE hen. About half the size.

This big one is very laid back, just lets you pick it up. Not going to get processed if it is a hen. Might have some Dorking friends for her next month.

The Cornish cross Red Ranger mixes are an interesting cross. I’ve got a rooster of that mix. He was in a pen with other grow out roosters and had free choice feed, he wasn’t as sluggish as his mom but he hit 20lbs at 6 months when everyone else was 5lbs.
