got around to booking our hotel today..... they still have some rooms for the show rate of $89 at the Hilton north, but only for Friday and Sat night. Thursday night will be full price.

We are only 2 1/2 hours away, but it is easier to coop in the night before the show instead of rushing the morning of the show.

We may be attending, as half of our family lives in and around Indianapolis. If we go it would be great! Last year we went to the Ohio Nationals, and it was really fun, so the Indianapolis show should be (excuse me English teachers) even funner!

I just recieved 25 chicks from Mrs Turbo, and may be looking for a Splash Laced Red Wyandotte roo if we end up going. If we do go, do you think we should book the hotels soon?

Beter book 'em now, Kasey - I heard one hotel is already filled. But - you only get the show price for the nights of the show - Friday and Saturday. Which I think is pretty crappy, since the one hotel is quite expensive. Gonna show our boy? I need pics!

Talked to Bill and he said they are getting 2 more hotels with discounted rate, I think $79 a night and that includes Thursday.....info will be in next poultry press. I am going to cancel my reservation at the HIlton and book at another because they are charging me $129 for Thursday night.

That would be great! Maybe if the Hilton sees that, they will be more reasonable and give us the discounted rate, too.

We just looked up the locals of the hotels. Part of my family lives in Greenwood, just south of Indianapolis, 25-35 minutes from the fairgrounds. Thus, we will be staying at a hotel around there. I probably wont be showing Constantine, because I really dont think showing is my thing. Im content to be an isle stalker at the shows

Unfortunately, my flock somehow contracted lice and/or mites(most likely from the wild birds that frequent their run, as my coop is VERY clean). Constantine, like the rest of the flock, has lost some feathers. On the upside, he sired a VERY pretty black BLR pullet that is not in contact with the flock. Ill try to get some pics to you soon. I currently have 42 chicks in moms ulility room

, and 26 of them are BLRW(25 from Foleys, 1 sired by Constantine). I cant wait to see how they compare as they grow older.

Hope to see ya at the show, cause I think were officially goin'

Mrs Turbo- The chicks are thriving, they are very friendly and are much more quite than the games next to them.
