crummy muffins!

Crumpet huh? I'll have to look and see if we have those around here. I don't recall ever seeing them.

The ones I've seen around here are packaged like the Thomas English Muffins, just 4 to a package, a little bigger and a little more expensive.

Maybe you could try some of the commercial crumpets. Not exactly the same but similar. You might like them better.

The English call them crumpets or pyclets. We lightly toast them and spread butter on them. Some people also add a feint smear of Marmite. There should be no 'gritty stuff' on or in them.

Marmite is gross! its a yeast extract, i dont know why anyone would want to eat that stuff but us brits seem to love it................all except me that is lol!
 
Tiaturkey - that's also what we call a muffin. I have no idea why 'english muffins' are called what they are... maybe just because that's what the package says. ?
