It is getting warmer. Soon I'll put them out side. I moved them to another room, a unused bathroom. A radio keeps her silent. I changed the water but still have to refill it three or four times daily. I have renamed her to screaming demon.
I wish I had something helpful to add. The only time I've experienced anything like this was with Louie when he was all alone, and a mirror helped greatly with that. Seems he was content as long as he though there was another duck there. Doesn't sound like it would help your problem "child" though. I keep giggling when I read your new name for her...screaming demon. LOL :) I know how aggravating critters can be when they just won't shut up...I feel for ya.

Oh and I love the poem in your signature (and Poe in general, he's amazing). When I first got internet as a teenager, Annabel Lee was my first screen name. :)

thanks for wanting to help, she is rather nice now that she has stopped screaming. i have been trying all kinds of rather odd things to keep her silent but it seems that the radio or me sitting with her is the only thing that helps. i tried the stuffed animal and they went mad lol. scared the hell of of them, they wouldn't stop trying to get away from it. I have also learned that they really love the shower lol. they sit and rock back and forth when i put them in it.
and thank you the poem is my fav.

wow. Sounds like a hand full! I really hope everything goes well, as I am duck dumb. Just getting started!

yes I just got some ducks but mine are usually quiet. It is just the chicks in with them tweeting it up! How old is she?
little over a month now. the little black tom cat of the house hates her lol. he runs every time he sees her. he likes my muscovies however. he rubs against them and purrs nonstop.

She just loves (or is really bonded to) you and thinks you're mommy. Cayugas tend to be less vocal, overall, but some are very chatty and females can be vocal no matter what mallard-derived breed you get. They're never going to be as quiet as Muscovies. If this is going to be a problem, it might be best to find her a new home.
