The average weight on my straight cubalaya cockerels last year at 8 months was 4 to 4 lb. 8 ozs. I had 2 exceptions and those 2 weighed 5lb. 8 ozs.

Got a digital scale yesterday so I thought I would weigh my biggest Ideal Cockerel and see what he weighed. He was hatched on June 13th 2012, so he is a little over seven and a half months old. He weighed 2lb 13.6 ounces. I was wondering how this compared to a normal sized cuba at this age?
this is kind of off topic but have any of you ever gotten and bbreds that look like they dont have the mahogany gene if so could you post a picture. i got a pullet this year that has light colored hackles to where they are inbetween a bbreds and a silvers. and every where else the cinnimon would be it is more light brown colored.
Must be a "sibling" of my two. They were also hatched 6/13. I've not weighed them. Not sure how I would get them to stay still anyway.
The face on the girl from Florida is much redder than what mine show. Comb is bigger too.
