Cubalaya Thread For Sharing Pics and Discussing Our Birds

felix if you dont have any better males use the one with the cusion comb because white in the earlobes is much harder to breed out.

I completely agree with 4h. As the old saying goes, 'Start where you are with what you have.' After a couple of years you'll know if you want to stay with Cubes, if so, then get some other males. By then you will have improved the flock you have too.

As to the white in the breast of JATs Silver, they often come like that. It usually goes away by the time they are two, but not always. There are times some of the white in the breast will stay. Just like chestnut will pop-up in the breast of a BBR.

Troyer,
How in the world did you get that coloring? I am re-reading this thread from the start and so far I have not seen anything like him. Will the white in his chest go away after his first molt?
The sire is a wheaten/silver duckwing split cock from (Saladin breeding) and the mother is a silver wheaten. The cock and hen pictured are his parents.

Not sure what I am going to do, right now I am just happy to have a flock that gives me eggs. Here are some pictures Boy in the back is now the top cockerel, blue and black pullets Group pic, one is in the box laying Top boy again, see the yellow dots in his feathers, what is that? It sure makes him pretty but not sure if it is allowed.
I'd like to know how "small" the pullets are. Which male is from Vaughn?

My wheaten pullet appears to be all one color. Will she have a lighter body after her juvenile feathers molt out? Also, her head seems evenly proportioned, should it be smaller. Will try and post a pic today.
