Dan Wake did get some cubas from us it's been a year or 2 ago when he got them. He already had a Britt male and then some others at the time he got some from us. The males pictured do not look like any of ours. Dan mentioned that he lost some of his cubas to predators, so I am not sure which ones he lost. I believe he only got 1 male from us, the rest were females.
If you went to the APA Semi in Washington, then all the Cubalay's there were ours. We had Best AOSB with a Sumatra female which also took Res of the Show. I had both Champ and Res in the youth show in the AOSB class with a sumatra and Cubalaya.
Our best birds type and color wise are never shown, because we always have them in breeding pens during the show season. We did hold out 1 male cock bird and showed him this year, but otherwise our best birds are more important to us in the pens for breeding than showing. What we exhibit is just the best we have left to exhibit that isn't being bred.

Right on!! Pretty sure I saw you there, we had Chanteclers, a Beltsville White young tom and a Buckeye; would have had more but we had some unfortunate events concerning an over aggressive female pecking another females feathers out. I'm tempted to ask if you knew what happened over near where the game birds were (a Pumpkin Hulsey, if I am correct)?? I had seen two of the males were sorta fighting, and some time later one of the cages was just empty and all these people were talking about needing to call the breeder. My first Poultry Show Drama, I just hope nothing bad happened.
Dan has told me about predator issues at his place, and like when I posted the pictures: I don't know which bird in those pictures is which. They're right off his FB.
4 month old Duckwing (again I apologize for the focus; I've got to start wearing my readers when I take pictures! I do not like this getting older stuff.)
