Here are my cubalayas today. I have equal number of darker-themed ones, and lighter-themed ones (sorry, just what I'm calling it). I'm totally new to chickens, let alone chicken genetics to begin with. Are these color themes linked with sex, or as they feather out again in a few weeks will I not even notice a difference between the two themes, or what does that mean if it means anything? As far as sexing by comb and behavior, I have yet to notice any differences yet. I do hear some attempts at crowing from the brooder but I have yet to catch who it is.

The black hen is estimated to be 15 years old. The rooster is 1 year old. No eggs yet and I'm not sure we'll even get any.
