Get you some pure ones. Sandhill Preservation out of Iowa can send you some. I think it'd be hard to re-create that lobster tail thing they have going on... I have a stag right now but hoping for some pullets next year so I can make my own.I like the looks of Cubalayas. I may get some, or create a chicken variety with same characteristics.
Not really hard for the tail. My black Sumatra, & Malays have the Lobster/Shrimp tail trait.Get you some pure ones. Sandhill Preservation out of Iowa can send you some. Cubalaya tails are similar but different than the Sumatras. Like wider and kinda shaped different if that makes sense. I think I read that they did use Sumatras to make them though. I was gonna cross mine to my Sumatra hen but decided against it. Check out that sandhill preservation site though if you hadn't. Bunch of interesting birds and all kinds of cool/rare seeds if you keep a garden. Not really hard for the tail. My black Sumatra, & Malays have the Lobster/Shrimp tail trait.
I wonder if cackle has some, I know that Ideal does.
