Cubalaya Thread For Sharing Pics and Discussing Our Birds

Zach, the birds you posted pictures of above are very nice. A lot of people would be thrilled to have them I am sure. Thanks for sharing.

I have yet to have a black female with correct breed type here either. I have had or do have some decent brown reds and birchens, but the pure blacks still need work. Well, really, they almost all still need some work. :)

I think we have a good core group of people working with the breed, hopefully in another 5 to 10 years the breed will be much better off.

I have a bird here now I was given by Troyer, that may possibly have dun, I will have to cross it to be sure. It has a lot going on all at once in terms of color so hard to say. I would like to see pictures of your dun bird at some point Zach. :)

I really like the BB Red Cubbies, who out there right now as the nicest examples do you think? Also what variety of cubalayas out there do people think should be worked on more to help grow the breed?

Picture taken with a blue to show the difference. Whatever people think, I know from breeding it that it is not blue.

Oh, Zach, that is awesome!! I love it!! My opinion has always been that the Pumpkin Hulseys with the dun looking tails had dun in them, seemed obvious to me. Your results with this cross confirm that dun is there. Sweet.
