Good Morning all.. Two of my lovely gals made it to stardom on another thread.. but I'm devastated.. Peaches and Cream was snagged last night by the predator, in spite of setting up an alarm system with lights and sound. I'm totally at a loss now. I have 3 gals in the house who just won't eat or drink now. No signed of paralysis or the wobbles, so may be heat/predator/POL stress all lumped together.. All 3 from the same pen. Just don't know what to do!

Thanks for the coffee.. Spent the night outside in the tent waiting for anyone to raise the alarm, or for the flashing lights and sirens to go off.. Early this morning Blue Bonnet started hollaring.. but Mr Coon was working on chick #4 by that time.. he was off and running before I got from the tent to the pen. He missed all the marshmallows along the way.. dangit. 23 and counting.

This is very sad. I'd be thinking about how to better secure the chickens. An impervious enclosure of some kind. Sounds like you have a lot of predators.
