It is an Icelandic version of lox. Same thing really, but uses a lot of dill in the brine.

I will look for it here. I have not seen it before though

Yes and no. It is cured, so basically cooked in salt, sugar and herbs.

Well stained two boards there is a loft in what we call our cat room..
When we bought the new fridge old was moved the laundry room..
The upright freezer was moved to the cat room.. Cat's started going up to crap in the loft there... So bought a couple boards make a small wall to keep them out got them stained put the wall up tomorrow

I'd definitely try it then. My first job was at a "sushi restaurant", god awful place that it was. Can't stand the stuff now! Not being able to cash a few of my paychecks may have put some of that bad taste in my mouth

I cook salmon with a dill sauce often. I like it both ways.

Yes...not getting paid for work done could ruin my appetite too.

I do love sushi though! We have tried to make it from time to time. Not as pretty, but still just as good!
