Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

Good morning and Happy Friday!

I hope you all have an amazing day!

Val, I would love to see pictures of your flowers when they bloom :love A garden full of flowers would be so wonderful.
I'll have to post a photo when the time comes. I'm not sure tubers I plant this year will actually do well this year. The first year I planted some peonies around back, I almost dug them up to take them back to the nursery because nothing came up. The next year, up came the peonies! I learn as I go. Do you plant flower gardens, Rei?

Well good thing you didn't dig up the peonies 😆 Peonies are one of my favorites! I don't plant any flower gardens. I would love to try one year though!

I've wanted to plant flowers around the house as landscaping so I may try that this spring and see what comes up.

I have had better luck with the flower gardens than the veggie gardens. I'm not doing the veggie gardens this year at all. Most of my flower beds are around the house too, because otherwise I'm just feeding the deer. :D I do have one across the yard and by the garage, but I have to have a fence around those. I love having flowers growing in the yard.

I have a few more flowers popping open here. I'm getting especially excited about the fruit and berry set I'm starting to see though!

Great photos! Everything is so lush and beautiful in Georgia! Reminds me of California. Everything grew there.

That's because it's still early in the season. We contend with boiling hot temps for a a few months during the summer and it's hard to keep stuff alive. More like a humid version of Arizona through those months, lol. I've going to try some new tricks if I ever get my veggies beds planted.

Irrigation is the answer. We have a couple of dry months every year, and with the plants being used to a regular shower of rain, they will die quickly. So we irrigated our veggie garden. I'd like to do that to the flower beds too. We'll see how far we get on projects.

I'm going to try a low percentage shade cloth over my veggie garden (if it ever gets planted, lol). The sun seems to melt the plants in the afternoon even with extra watering. Temps get into the 90-100s here in the worst parts of the summer. I don't even want to go outside. lol
