Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

I've heard that too but don't go along with it...there's no way I could have 4 cat boxes in this tiny little house, we'd have to get rid some furniture! My 3 cats use 1 box and I clean it every day.
Mine have one in the bottom of their tower, one in the loft, and one in my bedroom. I need to get a deeper one in there, they scatter a lot of litter there.

Good morning, Debby! Thanks for the coffee!

Morning Ladies Eight! Sounds like perfect Florida weather!

Morning IM!

We had some rain yesterday, but it is supposed to clear up today. Still pretty cool and overcast right now. I'm hoping for some time to spend watching chickens. Mad Hatter, my ornery cockerel, got into the pen with Pippi, my sweet cockerel, and although Pippi looked worse, he won the day. I may need to put a taller fence between them. They never hopped the 4' fence before, even though I knew they could. Now they are fascinated with fence fighting.

Queen Bee is just doing okay. Not sure she will ever be herself again.

Lucy was the only one left from my first flock of 6 chickens 4 years ago. She is my avatar. When I went out to give out a few treats this morning, I wasn't greeted by my ever ready little Lucy. :hit She passed away in the night. :hit RIP sweet Lucy.

She wasn't sick, and wasn't even the one showing suspicious signs of coccidiosis when I treated them all. She was her peppy normal self yesterday and went to bed at her regular time. She just didn't wake up this morning. :hit She will be so missed!!!

I could trust her to integrate chicks for me. I could put her with a sick hen for company. She had her own coop, which she was currently sharing with Surly, the broody mama to be, and Queen Bee while she is trying to get back to health. But, it was always her coop. :love

Thanks IM. We should have a few little chicks hatching under Surly this week in Lucy's coop. I'll name one of them Lucy 2. :) We'll see the circle of life in action right here in the next few days.

It's a wonderful experience seeing the babies with a mama isn't it? I hope you share pics! I have a broody too so I gave her 3 eggs yesterday, she wasn't sitting on anything, but she was firmly entrenched lol.
