Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

Yeah, it sucks the life out of them.
The good news is, no one is acting sick at all. No feather loss. All are eating and drinking and running around like happy chickens. :) And this morning, they have completely forgiven me for the rude awakening last night when I took them off the roost to spray them with bug spray. :D

The thing is, chickens will conceal their illness until they are in terrible condition.

Oh, I know. I have dealt with a couple sick girls this year. But, we did look them over really well and saw nothing, except on Mad, and whatever it was I saw on Pippi. There is no infestation here. We are operating out of an abundance of caution.

I do still have Queen Bee, who has never gotten back to her old self entirely. She hangs off on her own. But she is eating and drinking, and we didn't see nary a bug on her.

That's great!

We thoroughly examined Surly Girl and Lucy 2 this afternoon. No mites!!! Yay!!! :ya I sprayed them and their coop anyway, but because Lucy 2 is so small, I used the organic spray both places. They have their own coop, so I'm sure they are okay.

This just might have been much to do about nothing. Wish I had seen what DH saw on Mad. I didn't see anything on him. Treatment can't hurt, right?

Preventative measures, right?

Glad you didn't see any!
