I cannot imagine!!! 😲 I usually have 3 chicks at a time to raise and I think it's a big deal. :lol: I'm so happy to have had Surly Girl go broody. I just wish her chicks would have all made it, but it's her first time. Hoping she will do this again. Or maybe one of the other hens. I don't care who, just want them to raise the young. :D Anyway, I think you are BRAVE!!! :bow

Coffee is made, tea pots whistling! Help yourselves.

Cool morning 63°F, high predicted to be in the low 90's. Lots of sun this morning.
So quite this morning I can hear my birds calling from inside the house. :eek:

I can hear Mad Hatter crowing every morning starting at 4am. :lol: But, I don't have the wide open big spaces you do. We are on a 5 acre lot so my chickens are only about 300' away. :D

It's foggy on the river this morning.

My closest pens are about 150 yards from the house...and 'down wind'. :lol:
