Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

I'm okay, sipping on my tea.

I'm having some trouble with walking and falling. Have been to the doctor and he doesn't know what's going on. He ordered a CT Scan and MRI. When I'm walking I severe pain in my legs at times.

Fell in the chicken run day before yesterday.

It will get better.
I'm so sorry to hear that! Falling is scary! I sure hope you find out what is going on. And, oh boy, I have tripped and fallen in the chicken run. No fun. And it scares the chickens!

Praying for a speedy diagnosis and recovery for you!!! :hugs

I fall quite a bit. Trying to make sure I wear the right shoes for the weather. Especially when it's wet. Since I am overweight I get off balance more than I used to. It would help if our ground were level, but it is sloped. Plus we live in the woods so lots of sticks, wet leaves, mud and of course chicken poo.

Sounds like my place. Then the ups and downs in the yard create puddles in the rain. It's dangerous terrain for someone with leg issues!

I went through a spell of falling a lot about 20 years ago. I don't have really great balance anyway, and that is hereditary, but something was going on and I never figured out what it was. I did have arthroscopic surgery on my knee, so that may have made the difference.

The first thing I learned was what you learned. Shoes make a big difference. I wont wear shoes with heels higher than 1 1/2 inches anymore. :(

My knees are in good shape said the ortho doctor. But I have knee pain and pains in other joints since I had lyme disease. It's best if I keep moving.

You said "had". Does it go away? I thought it was a permanent malady once you got it. It's a devastating disease. It would be awesome if you could overcome it.

No, I don't think you can really get rid of it. I am trying to pretend it's a thing of the past.

Well, that means you have the symptoms under control, and that is very much like being over it. :D

You obviously have an indelible spirit!! :highfive:

I'm overweight as well. Although I have lost around 70 pounds in the last year and a half. I wear boots out in the yard and chicken area. Of course I live in Florida where the ground is fairly level. My blood pressure dropped out the other day. All of a sudden I just feel like I'm falling.

But this too shall pass. We'll just give it some time.

Thanks for your concern.
