Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

I built my pond and the filtration system several years ago. The pond is about half above ground, and half below ground. It has a rubber liner. and the above ground part is made of stacked pieces of wood. The wood I used is similar in size to railroad ties.
It sounds lovely! Have any pictures of it?

I have some that I took a while back, over the last few summers, the yard is kind of messy, and the filtration system isn't the most elegant, but at least the fish are pretty, LOL.

I popped back in because I remembered I asked for this picture! Thanks for sharing it. I can see I have a lot to learn about this. I wasn't think about the big filtration system needed. But of course! I better do some research before I approach DH with this one. :)

I think your pond is gorgeous! I love the "railroad tie" style frame work. DH would love that too. I'll have to show him what you've done here.

I'd like to build a concrete pond eventually in the future, and have it be the "ultimate pond" with a system to monitor the water quality, and stuff like that. I keep fish indoors as well, but I haven't been very interested in the indoor fish, however I'm still interested in the pond. I should probably downsize the number of tanks I have indoors, as I've been kind of neglecting the indoor fish.

Well okay chime in here as long as you have water movement mosquito's would not be
an issue one thing to think of what about ducks congregating in you pond ?
That's what concerns me about having a pond on the river. We have wild ducks and geese. LOL Well it would have to be a big pond to compete with the river!
