I love the crowing, but then mine are not all that close to the house. I have a hard time getting roosters to get along with each other. I have the space and the coops to create a bachelor pad, but they always seem to fight and someone ends up bloody. Perhaps I've never given them enough time to work it out. Mad has challenged Pippi a couple times and gone away bloody. Maybe I have to let that happen to the others and then they will co-exist. My problem with getting rid of them is they are such beautiful and spirited birds. Like you say, entertaining.Wow, she’s had a long recovery. So happy to know Queen Bee is enjoying the outdoors again Val!
Roosters are one thing I do and don’t miss about my flock. If I had the space I might keep a flock of just boys simply for their beauty and antics. I find them much more entertaining than the hens most of the time. I don’t miss the crowing much though. Sometimes, but not often.
