Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

Right now I just have some Silkies and Salmon Faverolles in there. I'm talking to someone about getting some Sebastopol goose eggs to hatch next month and possibly even a few emu eggs! I would be hatching those for others.

I followed a thread by Pyxis a while back where she was hatching emu eggs. It was fun to follow along on that and see the little ones. She would be a good resource if you decide to try it.

Hope your power stays on. My friend has lost power during summer storms here and wraps her incubator with towels and such to keep the heat in. I'm lucky and haven't had to yet.
Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the coffee...can't recall who made it

Drove out of the snow and into the brown this morning. Seeing a lot of vehicles coming from the East that are thick with white stuff. Glad it's almost the weekend so I don't have to drive in it!
Good morning Meg.

Thank you! Pyxis is taking part in the February hatch-a-long with me right now and I may just have to ask the master some questions!

Val, I grew up in San Diego. I just got back from my trip to visit Mission Bay. I took the train from Central Cal. how fun!
Wait...I thought you grew up in the OC or SFV or somewhere up there. Do I have you confused with someone else?
I loved the weather in southern California, I can't handle the heat in the summer with the high humidity, it's like living in a sauna but the winters are mild and enjoyable. We're expecting heavy storms today, fingers crossed we don't lose power because I have a couple incubators running!
I don't recall So Cal being very humid at all. It's a desert.

Thanks, I hope so too. I have blankets ready if so. I may even heat up some jugs of water if it starts to look ugly and I'll put them under the blanket with the bators to keep it warm longer.

I'm sorry, I didn't clarify when I wrote that. I loved the weather in California, the weather here in Georgia, where I am now, is where it gets sweltering hot and humid in the summer time.
Oh, I got ya. We lived in Jacksonville, FL, actually Mandarin, and called it South Georgia. :lau It was definitely humid!
