Have to go out early and let the chickens out of prison. I closed them in their very big coop for the first time last night. It was quite an ordeal.

Just keep them in the coop today, they need to figure out that's their new home. Try to stay dry Val.

Oops! I was out there early letting them out. But they were quite calm about the whole thing. I can't imagine why they don't just love the new space. We have closed up all other coops, but I expect to find eggs under one today. It will be a process, but eventually they will love the new digs.

We will get a break in the rain this afternoon around 1pm. As long as I have some dry time to get out and get things done I'm happy. We're in for 8 days of rain. Hope yours stops soon!

Goodmorning Debby. Today will be around 75 I believe but tomorrow starts a week of temps hovering around 90 or so. So it's coming.

Good morning, Pernear! 75 sounds about perfect to me! 90, not so much. I guess I'll stick with our morning showers and cool days.

One thing is certain, you can get out and enjoy that weather! Well, I hope you can. We can get out, even during quarantine, and at least walk around our own property. The chickens are a few hundred feet away, so they give me some exercise, rain or shine.

How was day one with DH home? I know it was great for him!!

I think we were talking about sharing ideas for leftovers. I made a tri tip day before yesterday, and last night used that for burritos. Yum! Still some left. Any ideas? Maybe a beef stroganoff.
