Hi chickiebaby1, what a great husband to bring you lavender Orps. Sounds like he's a real keeper.

He's not as terribly thrilled with them as I am. But he's an enabler big time! He even got interested in our last hatch, asking "so have any pipped/zipped yet? " I couldn't believe he had actually been paying attention.

Here’s old Rocky hanging with his girls today. With the weather finally warming up and the grass coming back, everybody is in a good mood! Even nervous Galaxy is enjoying some dust bathing!

I just hatched most of these out on the 19th. I have a mix of naked necks, barnyard mix and Silkies. And then my Hubby brought me home 9 lavender Orpingtons. I had been wanting some forever. SO excited to see these babies grow out. I also have a broody silkie laying on eggs probably due to hatch this weekend.

Those lavender chicks are gorgeous!

Hi Pert, how are you? Help yourself to those day old + day old doughnuts...you might have to dunk them in your coffee to soften them up enough to eat

I cannot believe how much easier it is to clean a coop when the chickens have a poop board and use it!!! It's a great day!!!

I've never had a coop with a poop board but will seriously think about it when I get another coop...people always talk about how easy it is to keep things cleaner.

Another disappointing day...my eggs didn't arrive! I guess that USPS is using the excuse COVID 19 ....if they don't get here by tomorrow, they are going to have a 'stroke' when I ask them to reimburse me for the loss....12 eggs valued in excess of $200

They figured out to go up and sleep there on their own. No one messed on the floor! I'm sure that's a fluke, but seriously, so much easier!
