Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

yup, made like cream of wheat or cream of rice.. Water, cornmeal, and a bit of salt.. cook stirring constantly until it thickens.. pour in a bread pan and let it cool in the fridge. When it gets' stiff, slice it and fry in butter.. then add maple surple.
That actually sounds really good.

I actually made real pancakes for breakfast this morning. Probably not as healthy, but at least from scratch. My recipe is an old one and simple and, in this family's opinion, the best pancakes in the world. :D
 
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, GRITS! If I add the leftovers to the fermented food ration, the chickens love it.
Ok, next on the list.. Who likes cornmeal mush fried? Butter and surple are good on it.
Just give me corn bread any day!
 
Hm, I have Jiffy cornmeal muffin mix.. maybe some scones? And if I can remember, I have a special treat for tomorrow's breakfast... Somebody remind me!
