Well, that sounds terribly stressful to me.My Mom had dementia at that time and my cousin was helping her. I was in the middle of a move to FL, to help them.
Yeah, plus I had to sell 100 goats, 200 chickens, 40 rabbits and three pigs!Well, that sounds terribly stressful to me.![]()
Wow. What a time you had!Yeah, plus I had to sell 100 goats, 200 chickens, 40 rabbits and three pigs!
Well it was especially sad because I also lost my favorite Aunt. Had to be the one to deal with her belongings, and she was a hoarder. So was Dad. I have no idea how many loads of stuff I cared to Goodwill. I know the previous move I threw out about 4 big dumpsters of junk out for my Aunt. I took care of my Aunt for 6 months. I couldn't deal with the dementia any longer. Then we lived with my Mom for a year. I was super depressed by then. Had to put her in a nursing home.Wow. What a time you had! That is a lot for one person to handle all at once. Having so much go on with your mom, losing your dad, and making a move is all just too much. And I can see how you love your critters. I'm so sorry you have had this experience.
So, aren't you the one to say, that's how life goes? I actually agree. I have stories too. Some of us get more than our share of grief, I think. In the long run it gives us perspective on life. I'm certainly not afraid of letting it go when the time comes.

So glad we could retire to VA and live in the woods on a river. Just what I needed!
