That has happened here. There are 3 doors to the enclosed run and I've forgotten to close one. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled out there at dawn only to find all my chickens already running around the free range area.

The "free range" area for my chickens is what used to be their pen. It is very large, approx 4,000 sf, and is semi secure with electric fence and bird netting, but I sleep so much better knowing they are sleeping in Fort Knox.

It will get better. It always does.

I'm having a good day, which isn't all that common these days. Getting a lot of housework done, which feels great. I think the iron infusion is kicking in.
